Your health data is
too important to share with us.
Glysimi stores everything on your device. No account, no server, no access to your data.
We genuinely cannot access your data
The most sensitive personal information in your life is probably your health data. Your daily insulin doses. Your glucose readings. What you eat. How you feel. The patterns in your body that you've spent years learning to read.
We don't have access to any of it. Not because of a privacy policy — because of how the app is built.
Glysimi stores everything on your device. There is no server. There is no account. There is no login. When you log an insulin dose or a meal or a blood sugar reading, that information lives on your phone and nowhere else.
We genuinely cannot access your data — not because we choose not to, but because we have no mechanism to do so.
What this means in practice
No account required
You never create a username, password, or profile. The app opens directly into your diary. There's nothing to sign into and nothing to forget.
No server
Your data is not transmitted to any server operated by Glysimi or any third party. It never travels over the internet.
No telemetry
We do not collect usage analytics, crash reports with personal data, or any information about how you use the app.
Export anytime
Your data is always yours to take. Export in standard formats at any time, for any reason, including to move to a different app.
Delete anytime
If you delete the app, your data is deleted with it. There's no account to close, no server copy to request deletion of, nothing to chase down.
Apple Health is optional
If you connect to Apple Health, data flows through Apple's standard Health framework. We do not transmit Health data anywhere.
What we do collect
Nothing that identifies you.
If you contact us by email (for beta support or feedback), we have your email address and the contents of your message. We use this only to respond to you.
If you purchase a subscription through the App Store, Apple processes the payment. We receive confirmation that a subscription is active, but not your payment details.
That's the complete list.
The simplest way to ensure your health data is never used in ways you didn't intend is to never have access to it in the first place.
In a market where every major diabetes app is backed by a pharmaceutical company, a medical device manufacturer, or a data platform, your health data is a commercial asset to them. Their privacy policies may say the right things — but the structural incentive is to collect and retain as much as possible.
Glysimi is built as a personal tool by someone with Type 1 diabetes, not as a data business. This is not a competitive feature. It's the right way to handle health data.

Data controller
Glysimi is developed by Bo Frese (Denmark). For privacy-related inquiries, contact: privacy@glysimi.com
Data we process
Glysimi does not process personal data on any server. All diary entries, settings, and app data are stored locally on the user's device using Apple's on-device storage frameworks. This data is subject to the device's own security (iOS data protection, device passcode/biometric lock).
Apple Health
If the user grants Glysimi access to Apple Health, data may be read from or written to HealthKit on-device. This data is not transmitted to any server. Users can revoke this access at any time through iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
App Store and payments
If the user purchases a subscription, payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. Glysimi receives a receipt confirming subscription status. No payment information is accessible to us. Apple's privacy policy governs this transaction.
Email contact
If you contact us by email, we retain your email address and message for the purpose of responding. We do not add you to any mailing list without explicit consent.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and note the date of change. Given the nature of the app (no server, no account), the scope of any changes is inherently limited.
